Confession: I still lay out my clothes the night before - one of those strategies that never fails me.
I spent 10+ years at a large nonprofit membership association creating, executing and evaluating strategy. To do that, I had to be a top grade planner and get really good at using tools like SWOT analyses, design thinking, ideation, project plans and the like.

I've led sessions with senior executives and Boards members. I've also created sessions for startups that centered on Dr. Seuss quotes. I create a space and atmosphere to allow the people to open up and be vulnerable while getting them to stay on track and move in the same direction, towards the goal.

I must have been the kid who constantly asked, "Why?" "Yeah, but why?" This may also be the reason I love the blog Wait but Why. I've got a bit of formal training in survey design and analysis and have done market research and competitive analysis in the pharmaceutical, medical device and financial industries. I've also conducted a ton of workforce research and impact analyses for nonprofits.

While not a formal coach, I'm often called upon by colleagues and friends for advice. Mostly, I just ask questions and they come up with their own advice. Oh, and I'm a great listener too (if you aren't my husband). A good friend refers to me as her "emotional referee".
